In the ranking of equity research analysts in Poland, prepared by the leading Polish daily for capital markets "Parkiet", Konrad Księżopolski, Head of CEE Equity Research at Haitong Bank in Warsaw, won in the telecommunication and media category for the 6th time in a row and took the 2nd place in the IT classification. In this most prestigious ranking of analysts in Poland, experts were assessed by 35 investment groups from mutual funds, pension funds and asset management business in 13 sector categories.
At the beginning of the year, „Parkiet” also summed up the results of its stock portfolios in 2018, which was an extremely difficult year for the Polish capital market. The dividend portfolio of Haitong Equity Research team was ranked as 2nd best. „Parkiet” stated that Haitong Bank did exceptionally well in the Q4. Stocks selected for the fundamental portfolio by Konrad Księżopolski took the 1st place in terms of generated results in this period. At the same time, the fundamental portfolio created for the editorial by the Equity Research team in 2018 was ranked in the 2nd place with a 26 percent rate of return.
"Last year brought significant declines in indices, and values of many sectors look attractive now. This suggests that WIG Index has basis to grow in 2019" – points out Konrad Księżopolski commenting on the ranking results.
