In the most prestigious ranking of equity research analysts in Poland, prepared by Parkiet, the leading Polish daily for capital markets, 30 investment groups from Poland’s mutual funds, pension funds and asset management business assessed analysts in 15 categories. Konrad Księżopolski, Head of CEE Equity Research at Haitong Bank in Warsaw, won in the telecommunications and media category, took the second place in the IT category and third place among the best equity analysts in Poland. Also Cezary Bernatek, analyst at Haitong Bank, won in his category – home builders.
With the beginning of the year, Parkiet also summed up the results of its stock portfolios in 2017. The dividend portfolio of Haitong Equity Research team took the second place with a 20.4 percent rate of return last year. On the other hand, the fundamental portfolio created for the editorial by Konrad Księżopolski in 2017 was ranked in third place with a 35.1 percent return rate. Parkiet considered that Haitong Bank did exceptionally well in the Q4. Stocks selected for the fundamental portfolio by the Equity Research generated a 7.7 percent rate of return during this period and therefore took the 1st place in this matter. According to the newspaper, the dividend portfolio of Parkiet, prepared by brokerage offices, gave over a 15 percent rate of return and its fundamental portfolio generated a 22.6 return rate in 2017.
