Maciej Jacenko, Head of Equity Capital Markets at Haitong Bank in Poland, participated in a debate on REIT , which will be a new investment vehicle in Poland

Haitong Bank representative was invited to take part in a panel discussion within a series of Expert Debates of Investors about the most important questions related to Real Estate Investment Trusts. The debate, organized by the Polish online channel dedicated to capital markets, Inwestorzy.tv, was held on 27th June 2017 at Centrum of Investors at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. During the panel participants discussed the benefits and objectives of the new investment vehicle and whether it will be an attractive investment alternative in Poland.

During the discussion, Maciej Jacenko underlined that the idea of REITs is predominantly a distribution of profits from working real estate assets, whereas value appreciation is only a supplementary factor. According to the expert, in the long term REITs bring constant dividend flow. – I think that the key word in a discussion about REITs is diversification, understood as a possibility of asset allocation in liquid real estate financial instrument. REIT shares give on one hand a constant dividend stream, while at the same time exposure to value appreciation of its Net Asset Value. – Maciej Jacenko said.
