Overview

Lusitania Capital, S.A.P.I. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R. is a subsidiary of Haitong Bank, S.A.

As a Sociedad Financiera de Objeto Multiple no Regulada, Lusitania Capital's core business is the granting of credit lines to Mexican corporate borrowers. Lusitania Capital was incorporated after the establishment of the representative office in Mexico in 2010.

Lusitania Capital is another strategic component in Haitong's geographic coverage which includes Iberia, Asia and Latin America.

Lusitania Capital follows, within the limits of applicable Mexican law, the business model used successfully by Haitong Bank, S.A. (formerly BESI) and its affiliates, offering a wide-range of financial products, including financing and advising on the structuring of transactions, as well as structured corporate finance products.

 

Lusitania Capital does not engage in transactions with individual investors.
Lusitania Capital does not engage in any form of captación de recursos del público as defined by the Ley de Instituciones de Crédito, and funds itself privately in the interbank market or from institutional and qualified investors, or via the public capital markets.

What is the Bureau of Financial Institutions?
This is an online consultation and research tool allowing the user to learn more about products offered by financial institutions, their commissions, fees, complaints and suggestions by other users, unfair practices incurred, administrative sanctions imposed, unfair contracts and other information that is relevant to the financial institution’s performance.

The Bureau of Financial Institutions provides information on who is who in banking, in the insurance industry, multiple purpose finance companies, savings banks, and retirement funds administrators, among others.

This service can be used to compare and evaluate financial institutions, their products and services, and allows the user to choose the most suitable options.

The information can also be used to choose a financial product and to better understand and use existing ones.

The Bureau of Financial Institutions research tool may help to contribute to economic growth and promote competition among financial institutions.  This boosts transparency by disclosing information to users about performance and products offered which facilitates responsible management of financial products and services.

This may result in greater social welfare because the tool combines diverse information about the financial system. It gives the user the opportunity to manage their budget, to improve personal finances, to safely use their credit line and to obtain appropriate insurance, among other things.
