Chinese investments in Poland – possible targets

In an exclusive brief interview to Puls Biznesu, a Polish leading business Newspaper, Bartłomiej Dmitruk comments on the possibilities of Chinese’s investments in local companies

Throughout the article Bartłomiej Dmitruk, Haitong Bank’s Senior Country Officer - Warsaw branch, mentioned that this year looks historically promising, as the most active year for Chinese companies, in terms of foreign investment, not only in Poland, but on a global scale. By the end of January, there have been already US$13.9bn of deals proposed or completed by Chinese companies worldwide. In comparison to January 2015, were investment was at around US$1.5bn.

Mr. Dmitruk pointed out that from a Chinese perspective, the most attractive drive for M&A in Poland, is through private and public companies, in the sectors of new technologies or highly specialised entities of their fields of business.
