For the fifth time, Haitong Bank partners with Forbes for the "100 Biggest Private Polish Companies" ranking

The value of the 100 Polish enterprises ranked in the List increased by a record PLN 52.8 billion despite the pandemic

The leader of the latest editions, Cyfrowy Polsat, was outranked by CD Projekt – a pioneer in the gaming industry. The third place, as in the previous year, was taken by Dino, which increased its value by 45%. This year’s ranking is unique as companies had to consider the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. However, this did not prevent value creation, as the 100 enterprises on the List increased their valuation by as much as PLN 52.8 billion. This clearly shows that despite its challenges, market turmoil can be an opportunity for business development.

Ryszard Hermanowski, Managing Director at the Polish branch of Haitong Bank, summarized the results of this year's list as follows: "It is significant that the surge in growth took place in such an economically uncertain situation. Lockdown not only did not stop the increase in the value of Polish companies, but many of them took advantage of the opportunity brought by the changing market conditions. (...) COVID-19 did not adversely affect companies using megatrends in the changing economic structure, which drive the development of, above all, the gaming, new technologies, green energy or healthcare sectors. This illustrates well how the Polish economy is changing".

The other Haitong Bank team members who worked on the List, Monika Grad-Martins, Jakub Pierzkała, Andrzej Kopka, Szymon Ostrowski, Piotr Sokołowski, Konrad Księżopolski and Michał Kowalczyk, selected Mercator Medical, Columbus Energy and RTB House as the most interesting companies from the ranking. They also pointed out the companies that, in their opinion, have the best chance of entering the ranking in 2021: Creepy Jar, Answear.com and Brainly.
