Haitong Bank’s representative at the fourth China and Central - Eastern European Countries Summit

Bartłomiej Dmitruk took part in China-CEEC Trade & Investment Forum

On the 24th and 25th, November, 2015 in Suzhou (China) took place the fourth meeting between representatives of China and Central and Eastern European countries cooperating within the framework of the "16 + 1" initiative. The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang participated in the event. Bartłomiej Dmitruk, Joint Senior Country Officer of Haitong Bank in Poland, participated in the accompanying China-CEEC Trade & Investment Forum, which concentrated on the "New Silk Road” initiative. This year's summit determined medium-term goals and objectives of cooperation between countries of the initiative.

Haitong Bank is the first Asia-based global Capital Markets player, with a well-established investment banking operation in Poland. It fills an important niche in investment banking services, building a bridge between Chinese and CEE markets. Creating opportunities for cooperation between Chinese companies and investors with Polish entrepreneurs is an important foundation of the bank's activity. Polish representatives participation in the events was supported by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP).

Due to the Polish President's visit to China, there was organised a Polish-Chinese Economic Forum in Shanghai on the 23rd November, 2015. During his speech, Mr. Andrzej Duda pointed out that he has big expectations on the Chinese economic growth that will lead to strengthening of Polish-Chinese cooperation and the coming of Chinese assets to Poland.
