• How can I open an account at Haitong Bank?

  In case you would like to open a personal deposit account at Haitong Bank, you may do so at our offices in Lisbon, at Rua Alexandre Herculano, 38.

  If you are 18 years old or older, you can open your account 100% online, through the Haitong Bank app, with a Portuguese ID card, or a Portuguese, Spanish, French, Polish, Brazilian or Chinese Passport. 

  After downloading and installing the app, only 4 steps are required:

  1. Initial registration: email and mobile number registration, which will be used in the online platform
  2. Video ID: Validation of the data submitted, and confirmation of your identity and ID card
  3. Contract Signature: Certified digital signature through a code sent via text message to the registered mobile number
  4. Data and documents: Fill in the data. The digital files of documents may be uploaded with the proof of employment and residency.

  Your account details should be available the next business day, after our Operations team confirms the information. The account will be open upon a transfer of 1000€ from an account of which you are the holder or co-holder.

• Which documents are required to open a Deposit Account?

  To open a client deposit account at Haitong Bank, you will need a valid ID Card and proof of the following documents with less than 3 months’ validity: tax residence, fiscal number and employment.

  Through the Haitong Bank app, you can only open an account with a Portuguese ID card, or a Portuguese, Spanish, French, Polish, Brazilian or Chinese Passport.

• Can I open a Haitong Bank account with more than one holder?

  In person, it is possible to open an account with multiple account holders. 

  Through the Haitong Bank app, it is only possible to open an account with one account holder, but other holders can be added later, through a in person process.

• What is Haitong Bank mobile App?

  The Haitong Bank app is a banking application provided by Haitong Bank to better serve its Private and Corporate Customers. 

  Through the app it is possible to: 

  • access bank accounts, consult balances, movements and documents 
  • carry out transfers between Haitong accounts and domestic and international transfers
  • communicate securely with your Client Manager 
  • discover and subscribe our Term Deposits offer 

  The app also allows individuals to open a current account, without having to go to the Bank's premises.

• What is Haitong Bank Homebanking?

  Haitong Bank's homebanking is a secure site that allows Private and Corporate Customers to access their accounts online. 

  Through homebanking, it is possible to consult balances, movements and documents, make transfers between Haitong accounts and national and international transfers and communicate securely with your Customer Manager.You can also discover and subscribe our Term Deposits offer.

• How can I access Haitong Bank's Homebanking and App?

  To join Haitong Bank's digital channels, you will need to open an account. 

   If you already have an account with Haitong Bank, contact us to request your access credentials. 

  With your username and password you can access homebanking through the area highlighted in the upper corner of the website https://www.haitongib.com/pt and/or log in to the Haitong Bank app, which can be downloaded in the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

• Does the use of homebanking or the Haitong Bank App have costs?

  No, the use of Haitong Bank's digital channels is free.For costs of banking products and services, please consult our price list.

• I cannot access the Homebanking or the Haitong Bank App. How can I solve?

  If you have forgotten your password, have access blocked, or see an incorrect authentication message when you try to enter homebanking or the app, contact us on weekdays from 8:30 am to 6 pm via telephone: +351 21 310 7600 from Portugal and abroad (call charge to national fixed line) or send us an email to onlinebanking@haitongib.com.
