Haitong Bank adheres to Protocols on Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (ADR)

Last November, Haitong Bank adhered to the Protocol on Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (RAL) with the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).

The Protocol aims to create a Consumer Arbitration Network that provides alternative dispute resolution mechanisms between entities subject to CMVM supervision and non-professional investors, without prejudice to the possibility of their access to competent judicial means.

The use of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism implies on the part of Haitong Bank the commitment to accept requests for mediation and arbitration of disputes, which are presented by consumers, who assume the quality of Non-Professional Investors, which concern matters in the within the scope of financial intermediation, whose prior complaint has not been fully met and up to a maximum amount of €15,000.

Therefore, and in accordance with current legislation, Haitong Bank informs that requests may be addressed to the alternative dispute resolution entities that compose the Consumer Arbitration Network:

Consumer Dispute Arbitration Center of the Coimbra Region (www.cacrc.pt);
Lisbon Consumer Dispute Arbitration Center (www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt);
Consumer Dispute Arbitration Center of Ave, Tâmega and Sousa (www.triave.pt);
Porto Consumer Information and Arbitration Center (www.cicap.pt);
Consumer Information, Mediation and Arbitration Center - Consumer Arbitration Court (www.ciab.pt);
Algarve Information, Mediation and Arbitration Center (www.consumoalgarve.pt);
National Center for Information and Arbitration of Consumer Conflicts ((www.cniacc.pt).
